Echoes of a calling

Everything began when God planted, in the little girl born on January 16, 1997, in Arad, the calling toward this beautiful vocation.

The first conductor under whose guidance she sang as a child was her own mother, Daniela Țărmure, while the one who offered her the first directions for development and managerial support was her father, Pastor Marcel Țărmure.

At the age of ten, Haideea began studying the trumpet and formed her first notions of music theory as part of a project dedicated to establishing a fanfare, alongside young people from across Arad County. With this ensemble, she traveled and participated in numerous musical programs, and at eleven, she performed her first solo instrumental moment at the National Fanfare Festival, held in Alexandria and organized by the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Romania.

The transition to vocal music came naturally, and at twelve, Haideea became a soprano in the Prodeum Choir, founded in 2008. Her most significant achievement with this ensemble was performing Georg Friedrich Händel’s “Hallelujah” during a tour in the composer’s homeland — Germany.

She continued her musical activity, and approximately two years later, she became a member of the Akord Junior Children’s Choir, directed by soprano Alina Negoșanu. Musical discipline, stage experience, and rigorous work were traits deepened by this new context, during which Haideea took part in her first televised concerts.

At the age of fourteen, she moved to Cluj-Napoca to continue her high school studies at the Maranatha Adventist Theological High School. She entered a particularly prolific four-year period, developing her musical skills and discovering new forms of artistic expression. In addition to numerous tours in Romania and abroad, with choral and orchestral ensembles, she discovered her acting talent, manifested in skits performed with her classmates — some of which were her own compositions. During this period, she also honed her coordination skills by helping organize the school’s concerts and events and refined her public speaking, having many opportunities to open or present events and concerts.

A year later, she was admitted to the Școala Populară de Arte “Tudor Jarda” Popular in Cluj-Napoca, Classical Singing Department, where, in parallel with high school, she pursued three years of studies under soprano Alexandra Hordoan and pianist Olga Bordaș. This period enriched the soprano’s musical universe, offering new perspectives on the classical repertoire and creating precious opportunities to refine her vocal technique, stage experience, and musical knowledge.

In 2015, she graduated and became a soprano in the Voces Vocal Group, where she was active for two years under the guidance of conductor and composer Emanuel Suciu. Performing a rich and diverse repertoire — including works by John Rutter, Tom Fettke, Karl Jenkins, and others, as well as traditional Jewish pieces and Negro spirituals — Haideea broadened her musical horizon beyond the classical sphere. During this time, she experienced the rigor of a professional working environment, the discipline of rehearsals, the value of teamwork, and the endurance required of any musician. In 2017, she participated in the studio recordings for the Voces Vocal Group’s album “Voi cânta”, as well as in recordings made at the Medienzentrum “Stimme der Hoffnung” studios in Darmstadt, Germany.

In music, even the pauses are sung… Every artist goes through moments in which they temporarily lose a clear understanding of their place and purpose in the world. For Haideea, such a period lasted from 2017 to 2023. Passing through this long pause, accompanied by minor existential tonalities, she eventually found the courage to return — expressing her desire to sing in the Gloria Dei National Choir, in which she continues to be active today. Following an audition process, she was admitted as a soprano and resumed her path, seemingly forgotten, with renewed strength and hope. What lifted her, beyond the support of those close to her, especially her husband, was the calling planted on January 16 and her deep love for sacred classical music. The ensemble ultimately offered her what her soul had longed for: the music for which she was created.

That same year, Haideea began a particularly fruitful collaboration with soprano Mediana Grațiela Vlad. Alongside her mentor, she had the opportunity to observe up close what life as a soprano entails — the struggles and joys of the profession — and, drawing on her teacher’s vast experience, she embraced every opportunity to deepen her understanding of the voice and how to use it effectively. Although the collaboration was brief, due to the distance between Cluj-Napoca and Bucharest, the experience profoundly marked the artist’s journey.

In 2024, Haideea was invited to the A7TV studios, on the show “E cu cântec”, hosted by Ramona Dărvășan, to share her story and delight the audience with her voice, behind which lie emotions and experiences that are, in essence, common to every human being.

Since life’s cyclicality is often inevitable, that same year, the soprano became a member of the Akord Chamber Choir, directed by Alina Negoșanu. Here, precious memories were revived, and the symphonic vocal repertoire performed in concerts with the Gloria Dei National Choir and Orchestra harmoniously intertwined with the more intimate and subtle repertoire of a chamber choir.

To this day, Haideea has performed in numerous concerts in Romania and abroad, interpreting works by classical and other composers such as G. O. Pitoni, Antonio Vivaldi, G. P. Telemann, J. S. Bach, G. F. Händel, Joseph Haydn, W. A. Mozart, Franz Schubert, Hector Berlioz, Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy, Ch. Gounod, Camille Saint-Saëns, Grigore Musicescu, and many others, performing pieces in various languages including Latin, Italian, German, French, and English.

The spring of 2025 blossomed with the soprano’s recital at the Sebiș Cultural Center, where she performed works by Antonio Vivaldi, Enrico Toselli, Ennio Morricone, Stephen Foster, and others, most of the lyrics written by the artist herself.

Although surprising, the experience that awaited her in the fall of that same year completely changed the trajectory of the soprano’s artistic path. In September, Haideea was admitted with a grade of 10 for her performance of the arias Lascia ch’io pianga by G. F. Händel and Meine Lippen, sie küssen so heiß by Franz Lehár, at the Academina Națională de Muzică “Gheorghe Dima” in Cluj-Napoca, where she currently studies under the guidance of her esteemed vocal mentor Tatiana Lisnic, and pianist Bianca Murariu.

What defines her as a person and an artist is authenticity, conscientiousness, and the depth with which she lives her calling. She is discreet yet courageous; creative yet anchored in structure; rigorous, without losing the essence of emotion. It could be said that the soprano embodies, in her search and vision, a metaphor for the antagonisms of character, which can merge into a perfect balance, leading not only to a fulfilled life but also to music through which the Divine can deeply touch the hearts of people, evoking emotions and transformations that no one else can achieve.
